Basic Design & Technology

Basic Design and Technology (BDT) provides the opportunity for learner to leverage on skills and information acquired from the study of other subjects such as mathematics, science, ICT, social studies and languages to create something, or to find a solution to an identified problem.
BDT is a practical and valuable subject that empowers learners to actively contribute to the creativity, culture, wealth and well-being of themselves, their community as well as the local and global society.
At MIS, we leverage on this subject to teach our young learners how to take calculated risks, how to be resourceful, how to harness their innovative skills, and how to combine all of these to become entrepreneurs and wealth creators. By offering the opportunity for students to critically and objectively evaluate the handworks of their peers, it provides them the necessary means to evaluate their own works and to perfect their outputs where necessary; using value judgements.
