Civic education is one of the mechanisms for raising responsible, active and law-abiding citizens’ right from schools. This is a club formed in the school with voluntary memberships drawn from a cross-section of the students’ body. The club is a non-partisan and non-religious group, mainly involved in the study and discussion of Ghana’s constitution as the fundamental law of the land.
Members debate and engage in analysis of all constitutional matters that emerge out of practice under Ghana’s 1992 constitution. In addition, members also involve in simulated parliamentary engagement, debate and other reading activities to improve their understanding of parliamentary practices and grasp of the constitution of the republic.
