The relevance of science to students’ lives, as well as the universality of the application of its principles and concepts make a compelling case for the need to introduce science to learners’ right from their formative stage of life.
As with the state, we have a strong believe that science education should begin much earlier in the lives of learners, because of its usefulness in guiding young learners through effective problem-solving skills which they need throughout their schooling days and beyond. It is important that young learners are guided to form a positive opinion about the sciences as soon as they begin their school life, so that they are able to engage with science as they advance in schooling and life.
At MIS, we are determined to engage our young learners with stimulating and exciting materials, methodologies and experience, and to teach technological literacy, critical thinking and problem-solving skills using science education. Our ultimate aim is to develop the passion for science in them, and to motivate them to pursue the sciences throughout their school lives. As s curriculum, science provides lifelong skills and expertise that guide learners to generate ideas and weigh choices and decisions based on available information.
